NEWS

WWII chemical-weapon antidote shows promise to treat spinal cord injuries

 

A drug developed as an antidote for a chemical warfare agent has been found to be effective at suppressing a neurotoxin that worsens the severity of spinal cord injuries, suggesting a new tool to treat the injuries.

Spinal manipulation therapy associated with improvements in pain and function

 

Among patients with acute low back pain, spinal manipulation therapy was associated with modest improvements in pain and function at up to six weeks, with temporary minor musculoskeletal injuries.
