Minimally invasive TLIF procedures result in shorter hospital stays and “good results” after one year

 A prospective, randomised study presented by Gabriel Tender at the 32nd EUROSPINE annual meeting has confirmed that minimally invasive techniques in transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) surgery result in similar outcomes as standard TLIFs, and in significantly shorter hospital stays.

 Spinal fusion device industry to be worth US$11 billion by 2025

 A report estimates that the total value of the spinal fusion device industry will reach US$11.0 billion (£8.2 billion, €9.3 billion) within the next eight years. The increase will likely be fuelled by the rising incidence of back pain and spine disorders, and technological advancement.
