The back pain drugs don’t work

 

Commonly used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen, used to treat back pain provide little benefit, but cause side effects, according to new research from Australia.

Personalised physical therapy brings relief for lower back pain

 

A new study from the University of Eastern Finland shows that the combination of manual therapy and exercise is an excellent way to combat movement control impairment in the lower back.

Spinal cord injury patients face serious health problems besides paralysis

     

The most common systemic complications following spinal cord injuries are pneumonia and other pulmonary problems, while cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of death.

Placebo and valium equally effective for acute lower back pain in the ER

                        

A double-blind, randomised clinical trial shows ER patients treated with naproxen and placebo had outcomes as good as or better than patients treated with naproxen and diazepam for acute lower back pain.
